Amanda and Josh’s bohemian wedding at Doubling Gap Center was an honor to capture. Amanda has been one of my very best friends since 13 years old, so to have the honor of capturing her wedding to Josh was truly unforgettable. This wedding definitely tested my ability to take photos with tears in my eyes!
They put so much thought and creativity into their wedding and, knowing Amanda, I expected nothing less than the beautiful aesthetic she put together with her family and friends. It was a wonderful testament to her creativity. Vintage rugs adorned the ceremony aisle, hand-made candles (including citronella for the mosquitos!) and dehydrated fruits for table decor, and thrifted linens made this wedding stand out. Every guest could tell the amount of thought and care put into the day.
Amanda, Josh, and their two sons are whimsical, creative, kind, and humble. This wedding highlighted their personalities and their love for family.
The lakeside reception was breathtaking, with stunning views of the lake and forest. The couple had a massive charcuterie board, which was a hit with guests, and the vintage furniture created a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The reception area was beautifully lit with string lights and candles, creating a romantic and dreamy atmosphere and the forest surrounding the lake provided a beautiful backdrop. As the sun set, the forest took on a magical quality, with the string lights illuminating the trees and creating a dreamy atmosphere.
As the night went on, we gathered around the campfire to enjoy each other’s company. We also played games like corn hole and watched as the kids played in a nearby jungle gym. The laid-back atmosphere was perfect for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.

The vintage rugs, cairn ceremony backdrop, DIY decor, lakeside reception, forest setting, campfire, and yard games all contributed to a unique and unforgettable event.
