Rustic Barn Wedding at Sites Farm | Athens, Maine

Bride and Groom embracing on their wedding day in a field of grape vines

Traveling to Maine for this wedding was a no brainer. Cait and I are two of dozens of cousins (thanks to our French Canadian bloodline) and despite living states away our whole lives, our friendship has never wavered. It was such a gift to be able to capture her wedding.

Sites Farm is a beautiful family-owned farm in Athens. It boasts rolling hills, a sprawling vineyard, and a gorgeous red barn that could easily meet any bride’s vision of a farm wedding.

Candid moments are my favorite part of any wedding day - especially photos of the bride and her besties getting ready! Our morning was filled with laughter, adorable babies, and prayer.

As usual, I headed down to the ceremony a bit early to grab photos of the guests arriving. It was a blast to see my family, all of whom live far away, greet each other and catch up for a moment before the ceremony began.

The ceremony was powerful and full of references to Cait & Seth’s shared love of Jesus. Their energy and faith was palpable and I felt so much joy watching one of my best friends marry the love of her life!

And finally - THEYRE MARRIED! I honestly had to blink back tears while they made their way down the aisle. My beautiful, lovely, extraordinary friend + cousin has finally found her soulmate.

The bridal party and families then gathered for some cute photos  :-)

Cait & Seth’s reception was a fun-filled night of screaming song lyrics and nonstop dancing. It was a blast to be in the middle of it, and to party a bit myself with some of my favorite people!
